SNAP 2026: Exam Date, Syllabus, Pattern & Free Mock Tests

SNAP is the management entrance test conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission to postgraduate management programmes across its constituent institutes, including Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Pune, Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, and Symbiosis Institute of International Business.

It is deliberately compact — 60 questions in 60 minutes — which makes it a test of speed and accuracy rather than endurance. Symbiosis also permits candidates to sit SNAP more than once within a single admission cycle and considers the best score, a policy no other major Indian MBA entrance offers.

SNAP is popular because it allows multiple attempts within a single cycle with the best score counted, and because its one-hour format demands far less preparation time than CAT or XAT while opening a strong institute network.

The multiple-attempt policy substantially reduces the risk of a single bad day deciding an entire admission cycle — a risk that is otherwise unavoidable in Indian management entrances. Candidates can treat the first attempt as calibration.

To appear for SNAP 2026 a candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree of at least three years’ duration from a recognised university with a minimum of 50 per cent marks — 45 per cent for SC and ST candidates — with no age limit.

Educational Qualification

A bachelor’s degree of at least three years’ duration from a recognised university with a minimum of 50 per cent marks, relaxed to 45 per cent for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.

Age Limit

There is no age limit for SNAP. SNAP has no age limit. Candidates may also sit the test more than once within a single admission cycle, with the best score considered.

Nationality

• Indian nationals are eligible.
• NRI, foreign national and Person of Indian Origin candidates may apply under the international category as specified by Symbiosis.
